90,000 lt Tank with no Water
Scammell reserve water tank was meant to provide water to sporting grounds and local street trees it has the potential to provide per
Council figures which stated that it would and should pump
24lts per minute
1440 lts per hour
34,560 lts per 24 hour
241,920 lts per week
967,680 lts per month
If we allow a 50% reduction in the above calculations and note that it takes 80,000 lts to water the reserve by the sprinkler system, there would still be sufficient water, to water the reserve at least twice per week.
Sadly the tank is empty; we have advised council on two occasions that the pump is not working. We await council’s reply and action. Sadly council has place restriction on sporting club use of our reserve due to the lack of water.
What more can I say except that our junior sporting clubs must pay the price!!!!
